Australia's reputation has been build on the outback and bush, now millions and millions of people visit Australia to experience the culture of surfing. It all started in the summer of 1915 that Duke Kahanamoku from Hawaii visit Freshwater Beach Sydney. He rode a board made from local timber and dazzled the crowd catching wave after wave.
